If spending a bit of time helping and socializing with veterans appeals, this
volunteer group offers such an opportunity. The Veteran’s Home in Paramus
accommodates over 300 residents. Many of these folk would appreciate and enjoy
social contact with a “new face” and also welcome assistance when traveling to a
social event such as bingo, an entertainment program, etc. Other opportunities
to assist are also available to volunteers. Volunteering at this facility does
not require commitment to a fixed schedule.
